Dog Potty Training

Potty training your dog is very important to all dog owners; no one wants their dog to urinate all over the house, especially on rug areas where dog urine odors are hard to remove.

A dog has no idea where is right and wrong to potty. That is why yelling and punishing will not work, the dog doesn’t understand what he is doing wrong.

First tip is that if you find your dog has urinated but didn’t catch him in the act then there is no use in punishing him. The dog will not know what you are angry about and will only get more confused. In order to potty train your puppy you have to be aware of where your puppy is and in the moment it is urinating in the wrong place firmly say 'No' and take it to the allowed potty area.

This of course may take time and patience but if you want your dog to be correctly potty trained then it is required. Another way to help speed up the progress a bid is by using potty training pads. These can be placed in the potty area and it contains ingredients that attract the dog to urinating on the pad.

Also make sure your puppy has access to the potty area at all times, especially after eating. Taking your dog out for walks helps a lot as well.
